More than 1,100 people signed up for a shot at winning Fast Lane in a Goodreads giveaway last month. Since only five could be winners, I want to thank everyone else with a free day and a sale.
But I’m gonna need some help.
The only way I can contact those people is through this blog (but I don’t know if they read it) or through Twitter or Facebook (but only a few are “friends”). So please retweet my tweets and share my FB posts about the Fast Lane giveaway day on Thursday, May 3, followed by a 99-cent sale through the weekend.
By the way, a blog post about Goodreads giveaways by author Laura Pepper says the average number of people who sign up is 845, though authors who advertise get about 50 percent more. I didn’t advertise, so I feel pretty good about my results.
I also feel good about a review of Fast Lane added on Goodreads this week. Here it is, uncut and uncensored:
Really fun read—quite predictable, however it was fun......full of extravagance and luxury—make you wonder how the other half lives! Loved it—very light read—just what I needed!
Of course, the sale isn’t just for the folks who signed up for the Goodreads giveaway. It’s for anyone who’d like a light, fun read…like you. And your friends. And that person who sits next to you on the bus.
I’ve gotten lots of support in my quest to make Fast Lane the best book it could be and as widely read as possible. For that—and for all of you readers—I am truly grateful.
